Beyond Vaccination ~ Ownership of Choice in Brief

Beyond Vaccination advocates the following:-

Ownership of choice in all medical matterswhich implies:

informed consent for all aspects of health which might involve interaction with the medical profession
nothing less than full disclosure of all known risks and benefits, is good enough
nothing less than full access to all medical literature at no cost to the parent, is good enough.

Ownership of Choice also includes:

the choice of homebirth, or in the case of hospital birth, the choice of parents birthing within hospital are not overridden by the inflexibility of the system or its proponents.
long term breastfeeding and child-led weaning
nutrition
management of any health conditions
gentle discipline
safe cosleeping/babywearing
to be able to chose how children are to be educated.
support for parents of vaccine injured children
awareness of how inadequate nutrition, and degredation of the environment impacts on the immune system, families, society and the world as a whole.

Because the medical profession’s knowledge of the functioning of a baby’s immune system is sketchy at best, the default position for a healthy normally developing immune system is:

To leave the immune system alone to develop naturally.
To engage in practices that are biologically expected and required for optimal human development.
To minimise or avoid options that work against the body's innate immune defenses, and to use options that support the immune system to do its job where possible.

Vaccines are essentially putting something into the body without a full understanding of how that substance can, or will affect gene expression, neurological development and immune function. We believe therefore that, the onus of proving vaccines to be totally safe in all aspects, is NOT the responsibility of those who have made an informed choice not to vaccinate.

A word about “choice”:

The medical community uses the expression, “the choice to vaccinate”. A choice implies the democratic right to say “no”. To many pro vaccine people, “choice” is only respected when it matches their own. People who make other choices are pilloried, slandered, and excoriated in various parts of the internet.

This sort of behaviour will not be tolerated on this board. Vaccine defenders are expected to approach discussion on the basis that they will be expected to respect others’ choices, and to address the issues, rather than their own prejudices.

Your membership indicates you have agreed to respect and uphold the guidelines of our community. Please apply intelligent thinking, and consideration of other members, and logic, to your posting. For example: "What am I contributing/offering by making this post? What do I stand to gain? What are the possible consequences/outcomes of making this post? Is there a more effective manner in which I could post? Is there a potential positive outcome to posting?"

Beyond Vaccination also supports the right:

to decline automatic medical intervention so often designed for the convenience of the “system”.
for decision-making that is completely free of intimidatory and coercive influences.
for decision-making that is completely free of intimidatory and coercive influences.
for mothers to be encourage and supported in breastfeeding for as long as possible.
to question any “control” strategies and treatments suggested by the medical system
to resist the “treatment schedules” based on pharmaceutical products on which the “western” medical system is dependent.
to challenge such practices with research and statistical evidence.
to a fair hearing, and respect, when expressing minority points of view.
