View Full Version : Dry Mouth and Lips
I have been unable to find any definitive answers on what could be causing my dry mouth and dry cracked lips. I get this about every 4 weeks, for a week or so, at around the same time in my menstrual cycle. I am wondering whether it could be hormonal or whether it is just at a time when I am deficient in a particular mineral or vitamin. I am taking magnesium and evening primrose oil, and have just started taking Folic Acid. I also keep my Vit C levels up. I do not eat dairy or wheat. I can relieve the lips with pawpaw ointment (which is great stuff:)), but I am sure it is a symptom of something else. I try and drink more fluids, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Any suggestions

could it be a fungal overgrowth? Try to put coconut oil on topically and put a teaspoon in your mouth and let it melt. If you can tolerate that is. I tend to forget who is alergic to what sometimes.
Other than that I am a deer with no eyes.

I used to have a problem with the left lower section of my lips going hard, cracking, forming a "plate" sloughing off, and starting all over again. Natural chap stick was a feature of my life.
Removing grains from the life, cured that. I'm not sure that it's yeast with me, since other things feed yeast as well and I eat them. But for me, grain removal has been wonderful.
