I have been reading the forum for a while. I have started to look into vaccination issue few years ago when my youngest son refused to get meningococcal vaccine. Now more I look more I cant believe what I see. Thank you for being there and helping us opening our eyes.
Many years ago I was brainwashed vaccine promoter (not official one but the one on the side of the road ) and could not believe why people would question safety or even consider not vaccinating when we all have been made to believe that vaccination is the best what happened to humanity...

I could go on but you all probably know what I am trying to say! I am glad my son refused meningococcal vaccine and opened my eyes.

Keep good work. Lovely day to all Jasmina

Hey, welcome to Beyond Vaccination.

Most people started out from a position of "believing in vaccination" so don't give yourself a hard time. Waking up and asking questions is a lot rarer!

I think most of us here started out this way. Welcome to the group!

I second and third the sentiments above.

I too was once relatively conformed. We did these things because our parents did, because their parents did.

something happens to wake us up.

Trouble is, once you start looking you never stop.

a fun place to see the real world of pharma is here: http://www.cafepharma.com/boards/index.php it's the insider's moan and groan place :)

Welcome, we used to be the same. I never really thought about vaccines-though I remember my friend getting boosters and wondered
1-why I wasn't getting them and 2-why she was. This was back when we were teens. Then I didn't think about them too much until I worked for a vet and how they were cutting back on them. But when ds1 was born, it didn't really cross my mind to question them until he started to get them and I felt in my gut something wasn't right.

Anyhow, what made your son refuse-do you know?

I think he was needle phobic! he had rough start to life (heart child), than I got him to have all the vaccines and he had asthma, ear infections, chest infections... that was all before he refused! He actually read the consent form that school sent home and had all the guns to protest! I am glad he did it! That made me change my mind in immunising my older son for meningococcal vaccine too and as I said to investigate. I am reading A shot in the dark by Coulter and I can just connect my older sons reactions to vaccine. He actually screamed for more than 24 hours after his second shot of DTP, so badly that neighbours brought formula (I was breastfeeding) as they thought I am starving him...

I used to honestly think that vaccines guaranteed immunity, didn't really have side effects, so the more the better. :shots:

:duh::aah:better late than never to learn the truth, right?
