We don't have a political, so thought this might go here? They still do not know what caused the explosion. The oil is still leaking and is now a threat to the LA marshlands, and if the wind shifts a possible threat to Florida.
"Congress should examine the facts as they are known today," Landrieu, a Democrat, said in statement. "This major accident and its potential implications to the environment need to be better understood. The public deserves a full hearing on this matter to ensure that everything that can be done is being done to maximize worker safety and minimize environmental damage."
I know not everyone in the US is against drilling. I find it odd that there is now a major explosion here and setting up oil drills off the Florida coast is on the agenda.
