My name is Danielle & I'm a mum to two beautiful children, Julian & Anna... of which neither are vaccinated. I have been actively involved in the natural health profession for approx. 15 years & my partner has joined with me in the last 5 years to co-own a health food store in Orange NSW. I also work as a doula & co-convene a Joyous Birth homebirth group.
We are very much an AP family- extended breastfeeding, co-sleeping, babywearing etc. We try & spend as much time outside in our limited vegie garden (renting doesn't make it easy!) & I'm still harassing DP to finish our chicken tractor! (coming on 12mths now!)
I'm looking forward to some interesting discussions, as well as light hearted chit chat as we get to know one another.

You could get your hands dirty and figure out how to do the tractor yourself : ) Hi Danielle, lovely to have you here to help out!

I could do it while he was at work... but it would involve trying to keep 2 small people from hanging off my legs while using power tools! Any interesting situation!

Hi Danielle,
My name is Hilary, and I'm married to Peter.
Our two sons are 27 and 24, and back then, when I breastfed the first for two years, and the second for four years and six months, such things were stuff of an alien race in this country.
Thinking about not vaccinating, was even more alien, and there was no-one for me to talk to about it, because the issue was like soap. You just used/did it.
I have four hens and four banthams who have their own large house, and the back yard is divided into three paddocks. The vegetable garden is fenced and shadeclothed to six feet, to keep the hens and the local cats out.
I am stalking a local burmese cat who thinks that catching my hens is a good idea...
Other than that, I research, read, write, and am trying to work out my own issues relating to menopause, which is interesting, and a useful challenge.

Hi Danielle. :)
You've officially given me my "something new" for the day. Until now I didn't know what a chicken tractor was. I knew chickens couldn't drive tractor, so figured it couldn't be what it sounded like... and it wasn't. :LMAO:
We rent as well and really don't have much of a backyard. I experimented with trying to grow carrots in containers this year, but that got rather botched up. :o
I look forward to getting to know you. :)
Hi, Danielle. Glad to meet you.

Hi Danielle. I would love to see some photos of your chicken tractor when it is complete. I must say I am very jealous of those of you with chickens, I can't wait until we can get out of suburbia and I can have some too!

Hi Danielle, good to see you here :)
I have also learnt a chicken tractor is not a tractor made of chickens
