I had to share, because what are the chances :) I started working pt at a vet clinic about a month ago I guess. Anyhow, I started to notice that the owner would keep telling the clients to get only the minimum of vaccines because vets overload our pets today. Giving nutrition advice out and recommending better foods than what the super market sells etc.
So here I find out that the owners feed a raw diet to their dogs, work to prevent illness through nutrition (for both them and their dogs), and are against vaccines! She was convinced that when their 5 yr old dog died of cancer, it was due to the over vaccine use and started doing research. Opened up the spay/neuter clinic a few years ago, but needs the vaccine clinic to help fund it. They literally only do the bare minimum. I've only run across one other vet who did that. By law, we have to get the one-there is no exemption.
We've talked a few times about vaccines and health. It's a little odd some days though. Out of the 10 of us there, half of us are holistic and the other half are not, so there is some underlying friction. We hope our grime will rub off on them :)

Well you never know, one day the others will realise that tossing various sorts of napalm at animals, isn't a wonderful option.

Maybe :) The one girl thinks we are completely nuts. We were talking about how certain cancer foundations are one of the biggest frauds, genetic alteration of dogs, certain vaccines for animals causing cancer and how vets realize this etc. She had no idea where we got this information. Open your eyes we said.
Of which, I should try to find that article I was looking at. The vets were talking about the SV40 in Polio and it turning up in human people, so why weren't human dr's seeing the connection, but they could?
