Christchurch Virologist Lance Jennings said that the last serious season 3children died fromthe influzenza B strain 2005.In 1996 an H3N2 strain caused people to wait in hospital corridors. This years influenza contains a Brisbane H3N2like strain an H1N1 strain and a B strain which killed 6 children in Australia no mention of elderly . They go on to say that NewZealand has one of the lowest prioity for vacc fewer than half those most vulnerable do not get themselves vacc.

This still manages to leave me dumbfounded. When I was growing up, we never heard of a flu vaccine. We also never heard of people dying from it. Sure, it can become 'complicated,' but anything can without proper care--which is what we really need to be teaching people. I wonder if we'll ever get to that point.

Flu Flu oh where can you be???

I've never ever had it in all my 39 years. I thought I had it on one occasion but probably sorely mistaken.:giggle:
